The finish is smooth with a mild resinous linger and a warmth that reminds you this is a bigger beer without being aggressive about it.

About the Brewery

Elysian Brewing is based in Seattle, Washington, founded in 1996, and built a reputation on adventurous, sometimes offbeat recipes alongside solid craft fundamentals. They're particularly known for their pumpkin beer lineup and annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival. Anheuser-Busch InBev acquired Elysian in 2015, which drew criticism from some corners of the craft community, but the brewery has continued producing a wide range of styles under its own branding.

Imperial Hazy IPAs, sometimes called Double or DIPA New England-style, scale up the already soft, juice-forward Hazy IPA format to higher alcohol — typically 8–10% ABV — while preserving the defining low bitterness, haze, and tropical or citrus-dominant hop character. The style originated as an extension of the New England IPA movement that took hold in the mid-2010s, distinguished from its West Coast Double IPA cousin by its rounder mouthfeel, minimal bitterness, and emphasis on raw hop aroma over assertive resinous bite.
