Rauchbier

Bamberg's smoked lager, made with malt kilned over beechwood. Campfire and smoked-ham aromas ride an amber, Märzen-like malt base — Schlenkerla is the uncompromising benchmark. Intensity varies, and the smoke softens as the palate adjusts. Usually 4.8–6%.
