Kölsch

Cologne's protected specialty, brewed by convention within the city: fermented with ale yeast, then lagered cold. Pale, delicate, and brilliantly clean, with a soft white-grape or apple fruitiness, gentle hops, and a crisp dry finish at 4.4–5.2%. Traditionally served in slim 200 ml stange glasses.
